Brief presentation of myself.

Hello World!!

Once upon a time, I was told I had "talent" and I felt good. Then I travelled a bit, and I saw the real talent of million people around the world, so I left my "micro-planet" in order to grow as an artist and learn from all of you.. I guess this journey never ends..

Project of artist until the day I will die. I would like to be a Humanist without frontiers. Mind traveller looking for a decent way of living by using my creativity.

I am a visual artist who has studied and worked as a Graphic Designer for a while, but I do not consider myself as such. I like to think, more than anything else, that I am an artist with some drawing skills. I know that all my previous artistic experiences and hobbies have been helping me to build up my set of skills as a graphic artist, and I would love to develop my creativity by becoming a professional in the animation industry.

I have been always involved in different artistic disciplines, and I always enjoyed my hobbies (photography, music, writing, comics, and cinematography), and I have also experimented with other artistic disciplines, (such as body makeup for several years, creating choreographies, and music editing).

Those experiences encouraged me to discover my talent as a “creator of stories “and my potential for presentation in audio-visual format due to my love for film and music, and my understanding of these arts. I started to get involved in the production of fanzines, exploring the world of comics, and developing storylines for potential future projects.

Having realised that my activities were fully compatible at the time of giving birth to the stories I wanted to tell, I decided to travel in search of a better educational background and life experiences that could enrich my creativity and talents.

Considering that an artist should be “universal”, I decided to open himself to the unknown world of the traveller, and after working as a freelance graphic designer from Gran Canaria, Valencia, Castellón, Barcelona and Madrid, (Spain) I decided to emigrate to an even more cosmopolitan capital, where I could directly expose myself to influences from other cultures.

The chosen city was London, where I have been living for a decade already, and I was lucky enough to meet some animation students who showed me more in detail this art. I fell in love with it. I have recently finished a MA Character Animation at Central Saint Martins, and I am still writing, drawing, and enriching my creativity.

It has been a long journey.. It has taken me too long, but I am already here. I have connected the dots, quoting Steve Jobs.

That’s why I say “Better late than ever”.

But again, I just remember that I have been a survivor all my life, and I never gave up my dreams, so I will be fine. The most important thing is that I am already here, trying to do what I wanted, and despite my age (yes, it seems I am not a young any more), I am certainly achieving my dreams, slowly but surely.

“Better late than ever”.

PS: Let me finish quoting a few lines that state more or less my motto..

THE WORLD IS IN THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO HAVE THE COURAGE TO DREAM AND RUN THE RISK OF LIVING YOUR DREAMS.

If you’re going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods. And the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It’s the only good fight there is…
~Charles Bukoski

Although you do not know it, when our paths cross in life, you leave a footprint and affect my direction, no matter what you do, I learn from you.

Observing and empathizing helps you to enrich your life. Ignoring the people around you is only your loss. Expand your world, do not limit yourself.

~Me.
